How to access your GP practice

The way you receive
GP practice services is changing to ensure you receive the best possible care,
quickly and safely. We just want
people to come to their GP practice when they need to so you and our staff can stay
safe from coronavirus. If you want to contact a GP practice, you must telephone the practice first or visit the practice's website and complete a confidential online form. You can also use the NHS app
to request repeat prescriptions and
receive health advice. Through a discussion over the phone or online, you and your health practitioner may decide that your condition does not require you to
attend the clinic and that they can advise you
via online message, by phone or through a video consultation.
Online messaging, telephone or video consultations are a safe, secure and convenient way to get confidential advice
from your GP or other health practitioners such as nurses or physiotherapists. GP practice staff are trained to provide
remote consultations where appropriate and continue to provide face-to-face care where there is a clinical need. If you don't feel comfortable or confident receiving health care
online or over the phone, let the clinic staff know
and they will agree with you on the best way to safely provide care to meet your needs.

If you are scheduled for an appointment
at the clinic, you will be asked to wear a face mask and have a limited number
of people accompanying you. Clinic staff will wear
face masks or personal protective equipment
to keep you safe. If you have a disability or health condition that makes it difficult to wear a mask,
communicate with someone wearing protective equipment, or need to make any other adjustments before your appointment, just let staff know in advance. Please do not attend your appointment if you have any
symptoms of coronavirus, but tell clinic staff
by phone or online instead. Do not delay seeking advice if you have any health care concerns and attend routine and screening appointments. Remember, the staff at your
GP practice are here to serve you. Please treat all staff members
with respect and help us so we can help you..
