in just 7 months I have made over $13,400 selling my patient product in Amazon USA being an entrepreneur from another country I'm so much passionate about selling online and that's why I moved from my country to Turkey in 2019 I wanted to launch my business in Amazon and after watching Travis content in YouTube channel it motivated me a lot to launch my product because I was not sure about my product whether it will be successful or not so I decided to join Travis ppf family and after joining a patient prot formula course from Travis uh it helped me and guided me a lot in fact it motivated me to launch my product and give it a try well this idea was in my mind almost four years ago but I was not so much familiar with Alibaba and Amazon and all these online marketplaces but uh since I'm a full-time traveler so most of the time wherever I travel I love to shoot some videos take some pictures to make some memories and most of the time I was running out of the chart and I was of course using some other power monks but since they didn't had any solar panel so I was kind of stuck in the middle of New Year and I was not able to record or shoot any videos then an idea came up to my mind that I must make a solar power bank that no one must go out of the church this idea came in my mind almost four years ago but after joining the Travis PPA family it encouraged me a lot and motivated me a lot to launch this product and finally after almost 4 years I launched my product well we have some extra charges uh before we launch our product since our product is an electronic product so we paid for a certificate almost $810 to get that certificate to make us eligible for selling in Amazon and we also paid $15 for a viice record we hired a guy in fivr who professionally recorded a viice for us because we created a video for our product and we wanted someone professionally record a voice message for us so we paid $15 for Vi record I made finally my logo by myself and canva so I paid 0 because I made my logo myself but uh we paid $45 for the uh 3D photos because it was Amazon requirement that we should use photos with white background and with a specific resolutions in order to generate also more more sales in order to protect our business uh we made an LLC and state of Texas 9 us LLC I paid around $300 in order to protect my business and uh the reputation of my business we applied for an LLC in the state of Texas and the first production run we ordered 200 units uh it cost us $3,200 I found my manufacturer in Alibaba first of all since I wanted to sell my product in the United States I tried to search uh for the suppliers or the manufacturers in the United States because the shipping cost also will be cheaper comparing to China it will not take that much lead time to send the products in the Amazon warehouse but unfortunately I couldn't find any supplier or manufacturer in the United States so I went to Alibaba website and I searched for the supplier and finally I found a manufacturer who was able to produce my products and I deal with that manufacturer and we start the first production we did the ear shipping and the ear shipping cost us $550 the reason that I chose ear shipping because uh before we launch our product in Amazon we did a fundraising campaign in Indi Google and we wanted to send our ship our products to our backers in Indi Google and we got our products on time and we ship it to the people who backed and supported our product unfortunately our campaign was not successful in indigogo the reason that we didn't really our goal in Indi Google platform uh because we didn't pay much attention in uh running advertisement in social media and all the stuff so this was the reason we wanted to send and ship our products for our backers in indigogo that's why we choose the ear shipping but still I believed in my product that I wanted to try it in Amazon that's why I didn't give up on indig go results well the reason that I didn't uh purchase any barcode from gs1 uh because our Indi Google campaign was kind of failure and I wanted to launch it in Amazon with GTI and extension before launching our product in Amazon we opened a s Central account in Amazon USA and we went with professional account and we paid uh $39.99 the Amazon monthly fee uh the reason that we choose the professional account uh because we wanted to make familiar ourself with the Amazon professional account how it works and how much it will cost the storage and all the stuff because with professional accounts uh we are also eligible for Prime uh customers that they can buy our product the prime customers originally I struggled to create an Seller Central from Turkey since almost 2 years ago the turkey was not in the marketplace of Amazon so it was so much difficult to create a Sor Central account from Turkey that's why uh we created a Sor Central from the United States and we applied for a non US citizenship LLC and trademark and we created our sales central from the United States and uh beside that we also made a trademark in order to build the reputation of our product we did a registration of trademark in USPTO and we paid over $250 and we did it by ourselves we didn't consult with any lawyer or we didn't hire any lawyer to register our trademark well I invested around $5,000 in my product but since I was confident about my product and I knew that it will solve a pretty big problem that no one will go out out of the charge or their battery will not die after using our product the first month Revenue was $1,469 and we sold 42 units of our product and it cost uh $674 and the Amazon selling fee was $220 and the Amazon FF was around $174 and since we started the uh Amazon PPC on the first month we paid around $73 for the Amazon PPC and we earned a profit of $285 for the first month so the first month was uh pretty exciting for us because we launch it in Amazon after lots of struggles and challenges because Amazon required from us lots of documentation as I mentioned but the first month was so much successful we earn our profit and we sold uh like 42 units in the first mon the exciting moment was for me when the first day we launched our product in Amazon and we got our first sale so that was like crazy moment for me I I was so excited and I believe that this product will work very well well for the month two we did a great number of revenues we sold over $3,300 we sold 95 units and we made a profit of $845 then the disaster happened because we went out of this stock and uh we sold out all our units and I was so much frustrated I was contacting the supplier emailing them contacting them to send our inventory as soon as possible but unfortunately we was out out of this stock and it took over a month until we restock our inventory again so for the next month unfortunately uh we lost some sale and our Revenue decreased so we restocked our inventory after a month well for the third month our sales decreased pretty much uh because we was out of the stock for more than a month and uh the revenue of the monthly was uh $1,300 we sold around 40 or 41 units of our product and uh our profit was around $285 degreeing in sales uh me US think that okay we back to the inventory we have this stock in our inventory so what's the reason that still we don't have the same selling as we had before so it made me realize that we need to do some keyword research and add some new keywords and search the competitors's keyword so after uh doing all this stuff we put the new keywords in our listing and we try to enhance and we try to make more our keywords professional and we try to choose the selling uh keywords so for the month for since we res stopped our inventory recently it was uh pretty the same as month three we made over 1,300 sales around 45 units and we made a profit of $285 the revenue for the fifth month it was $2,150 we sold 61 units of our product and we earn a profit of $495 roughly the reason that our sales increased a little bit comparing to the month fourth because we add some new keywords in our listing and we add some new images and pictures in our listing in order to boost our sales for the month six our Revenue was $2,700 uh we sold 90 units of our product and we earn a profit of uh $390 which was pretty the same as the month fif because of the new keywords and the new pictures that we added we slowly enhance and we increased our sales number in theand fth and the 6 after selling over 6 months of period in Amazon we earn a profit of $2,400 while it's a great start uh we made $2,400 in 6 months without struggling a lot or doing any kind of hard works just by playing our with our phones ordering the units sending it to Amazon warehouse so it's pretty good and there is more come up my first biggest mistake was uh when we launched our product and indigogo platform we wanted to was some money in order to support our production run but unfortunately we didn't run much advertisement on social media in order to capture and track some customers to purchase our product so it was a failure and it cost us over $4,500 and the biggest mistake was not running advertisement in social media or any other platforms the second mistake that we made uh after successful selling on Amazon for the first month uh we went out of the stock and we was frustrated and it cost us over $3,500 because we went out of this stock and we couldn't restock our inventory as soon as possible it took over a month because mostly the supplier says that it will take a month that we will ship your product but to be honest sometimes it takes more than a month sometimes 45 days or sometimes even it takes 2 months the third mistake cost us maybe around $10,000 if I would launch my product like one or two years ago when there was pandemic time and all over the World there was quarantine and people was not going outside much and all the time they were playing with their tablets and with their phone so if I would launch at my product like one or two years ago mightbe I would make more than 10 or $20,000 in profit and the number one lesson I see with all my Amazon FBA
