<p>At first, for some people, this exercise might be a little difficult and so you can keep your knees in contact with the floor rather than the knees. One of the important aspects of this exercise is to lower yourself down slowly so that you continue to exercise those important muscle groups. As you improve, one way to ,make this exercise more difficult is to move your hands slightly wider than shoulder width.</p>
<p>A favorite exercise of many people and one commonly seen in gyms is the bench press. For this exercise you want to make certain you have a partner who can help keep you safe while you work out. You rest flat on your back with your feet braced on the floor while you lift the barbell above your chest at arm&#8217;s length. Slowly lower the bar until it touches your chest, and slowly begin to once more push it away from you.</p>
<p>While performing the bench press, do not jerk or bounce the weight off of your chest. Three sets of roughly eight reps each done once or twice a week will soon begin to develop your chest muscles nicely, and you will start to see a change in yourself.</p>
